Another visit to Bologna Italy recently for the 22nd SIES or the International Congress of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery was not just fruitful but fun as well. We had a full 3 days of talks on Algeness - the one and only Organic filler in the market. The first day we arrived (early morning) in Bologna we were whisked to our Hotel Carlton in the old city, to get checked in freshen up for the afternoon Algeness exclusive session.  What I like about the Algeness company, ATT, is that it has strong emphasis on training and teaching the doctors that are going to use the product and there is a lot of continuous training for experienced injectors. In Barcelona again for another round of training and updates on the use of Silhoutte Soft sutures. It was again an interesting 2 day session with over 100 Drs from all over the world. New techniques included for brow lifting, mid face lifting and especially for lower face to define the jawline. New techniques for neck lifting, nasal flare reduction, breast lifting, buttocks lifting and reduction of the upper arm flabbiness. The new 16 cone sutures with 8 cones on each side instead of 4 was also introduced. This allows for less threads or sutures to be used for the same effect due to a stronger and better 'hold' of the skin , thus a better "lifting" effect. I tried it out upon my return and lo and behold , the hold is better and a more profound lifting is seen. What's best is I am able to achieve the same results with less no of sutures allowing for better affordability to patients.

A technique for creating a higher and sharper nose line as well as lifting the nose tip and giving it a sharper tip is now available through thread lifting. This technique uses specially made threads with cox that has a greater strength in holding up the nose bridge and tip while creating a hold.
