How you can improve your skin with Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP .

Many patients ask me about this "blood" treatment. Made popular by Kim Kardashian with her "Vampire Lift" facial several years ago, it took the world by storm and became a very popular method for skin rejuvenation adn improvemet.
Over the years I have conducted many PRP treatments.

So what is PRP therapy ?
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is a treatment that uses the plasma derived from a person's own blood (autologus) to release growth factors, which are cells that act as messengers to initiate skin cell regeneration.

A small amount of blood is taken and deposited into a special PRP kit. A good kit , like the Regen kit (RegenACR) is able to ensure a big quantity of growth factor(GF) cells in the plasma which will then translate to better effect on the skin.

What is PRP good for?
PRP if used to treat the skin each month, has been shown to give skin homogenecity due to regeneration of new skin. Fine lines are reduced, skin color is lightened and brightened. Overall skin tone also improves and tightening occurs.
PRP is best done regularly once a month. After 3 months the results is most significant.

PRP can also be used for joint problems like in the knees and the shoulder joint.

I've also used PRP for hair regrowth with amazing results and some of my male patients had hair regrowth in just 2 months to a full head of hair !

PRP can be combined with Hyaluronic Acid (HA) for a synergistic effect of hydrating the skin as well.

There are many PRP treatmetns being offered nowadays with a price range of a few hundred RM to thousands of RM. Patients need to know that the difference is in the type of kit used which enables the quantity of GF cells. The better kit like Regenkit will be able to derive the highest quantity of GFs as compared to just using a plain CAT tube. It is also important to bear in mind the "closed" system required as opposed to "open" system which carries risk of contamination of blood and transmission of infection.

Recently I was introduced to the FDP-2B concept . Also another type of PRP the blood is processed in the lab instead of by clinic centrifugation and the plasma is freeze dried to enable GF extract of up to 2 Billion cells! This can give amazing outcomes for patient, esp those with problematic skin or joint problems.

Now, I prefer to offer the freeze dried PRP due to the much higher quantity of cells with just 1 session, and a very significant improvment is seen.
Also with the FDP-2B , I only have to extract the blood once and I get 5 vials containing 2 Billion GFs inside which can be used throughout the year. Just call the lab and walah! it's there ready for injection wether to the hair or face or joints, OR all 3!

Laser Vagina Rejuvenation

Our V2LR laser handpiece is finally here. Had a revision session with Prof Zerbinatti in the clinic on 3rd Jan. Imagine, for those of us who wish to "rejuvenate" ourselves can do so now with ease and painlessly. Just make an appointment with the clinic, come in 30min earlier so a topical numbing cream can be applied, and have the procedure conducted and completed in 1/2 hr,tops. What will you get ? Well, internally the lasering will "puff"up the mucosa of the vaginal wall by collagen remodeling, as well as improve sensations. Externally the procedure can lighten the skin color, increase sensitivity as well tighten surrounding area. ALl these in just 3 sessions! Prof Zerbinatti claims that in his clinic this is currently the most popular procedure among women in their 30s and 40s. I am very excited about this procedure. I know a lot of women out there do not have any problems, and therefore do not require any surgical LVR but would like to just improve. Like everyhti...

SIGNS YOU SHOULD AVOID AN INJECTOR

Recently, I was browsing through some of my favorite Facebook groups for aesthetic providers a nd I noticed something alarming. There was a glut of posts from inexperienced injectors, asking for advice on how to get best results with dermal   fillers. They weren’t sure whether common situations were normal  and were even asking for advice on complications. For example, one injector was concerned that her patient was experiencing swelling in her lip immediately after her appointment:   She didn’t have enough experience to know whether or not something had gone wrong. Or take this injector, who wasn’t sure whether the redness in her patient was normal:   The answer is ā€œprobably yesā€, but a more experienced provider could have achieved much gentler results with a cannula and know if there's something more serious like a blood vessel compression has occured.  A lso looks like she missed the right injection point a few times, which is not gre...

How to trigger a Cascade of Healing in your skin

Have you ever thought about how your body heals itself after a cut? It’s miraculous, really. First, your blood clotting system jumps into action, stopping your blood from ā€œleakingā€ through the wound. Over the next three days, your body destroys bacteria and removes debris from the wound site, preparing the ground for a new bed of tissue. In the third phase, your body fills the wound, creating fresh, healthy new skin. This can take anywhere up to 24 days! Finally, over several months, the new tissue gets stronger and more flexible as your body creates more collagen fibres... until the skin looks as good as new. Our bodies really are remarkable... ...But what’s even more remarkable is that scientists have found a way to use this natural process to give you a brighter, fresher, smoother complexion! Microneedling is the process of deliberately creating tiny wounds in your skin, in a safe, controlled way. This triggers the ā€œCascade of healingā€ I just described... ...
